(2nd Semester)

The 2nd High Table Dinner successfully concluded on 16 Apr 2026. We were honoured to welcome Prof. LI Raymond as the keynote speaker, who shared insightful perspectives on how individuals can prepare and equip themselves in the era of AI, and encouraged students to prepare wisely and effectively for future learning, innovation, and value creation.

Student-initiated: Easter Egg Creative Design Workshop

Initiated by Floor Ambassadors, residents gathered to explore the traditions and cultural meanings of Easter. It was a refreshing activity that reminded them about Easter’s symbolism as a sign of new beginnings. Celebrating the festive spirit, they designed their own unique Easter eggs.

Cultural Ambassador Scheme
(2nd Semester)

In the 2nd semester, our Cultural Ambassadors continued to dedicate their efforts to engaging students through a range of cultural activities, including creative artistic expression and explorations of the cultural and historical perspectives behind board games from around the world.

Student-initiated: Peer Learning & Workshop-Responsible Vibe Coding

Initiated by our talented students with the support of our RC Fellow Dr Jack WU, residents got to explore Vibe Coding through two hands-on practices, learning to craft effective prompts and collaborate with AI to create interactive web pages.

Visit by Shenandoah University

Students and faculty members from Shenandoah University in the USA recently visited Lee Yick Hoi Lun Mosaic College! The group participated in ice-breaking games, a cultural sharing session, a hands-on Chinese calligraphy activity organised by our RC Fellow and student leaders, and lastly a guided RC tour. The visit was a great opportunity for cultural exchange and meaningful interactions. 

Visit to Tsz Shan Monsatery

Supported by the Sin Wai Kin Chinese Culture Promotion Scheme, students paid a visit to the Tsz Shan Monastery and gained insights into Buddhist values and culture. After the monastery, we continued with a leisurely walk in Tai Mei Tuk and concluded with a vegetarian Buddhist meal. Some participants had their first experience of traditional Buddhist vegetarian cuisine!

Student-initiated:
Sand Painting Workshop

Led by the Floor Ambassadors, students took a pause from the busy weeks of finals preparation and created their own sand painting arts with imagination and creativity.

Kwong Yuen Cultural Walk and Poetry Appreciation

Guided by local poet Mr. Chow Hon Fai, well known for his Hong Kong Public Housing poetry series, students dived into the local customs and everyday stories of Kwong Yuen Estate, gaining a deeper understanding of community life and cultural expression in public housing.

K-Culture Garden

Co-organised with Patrick S C Poon Amity College and the Department of Social Science – Asian Studies Programme,  this joyful event provided immersive opportunities to explore Korean culture, such as Hanbok (traditional Korean attire) try-on, Hangul (tradition Korean letters) calligraphy, and traditional Korean games, etc.

Cultural Ambassador Scheme

Cultural Ambassadors initiated a series of meaningful events in Semester 1, including:
– Aromatherapy Workshop
– Cultural Immersion in To Shek Village
– Global Tea Journey

Orientation Month:
Chinese Classical Music Workshop

Led by Cantonese Opera performing arts creator Mr. Jason Kong, students experienced the making of classical music (Xiqu) with traditional Chinese instruments in a two-session workshop. Through hands-on practice and creative exploration, students gained a deeper appreciation of the rhythms, melodies, and rich cultural heritage of Chinese music.

Mosaic High Table Dinner

The 1st High Table Dinner, one of the signature events of Lee Yick Hoi Lun Lee Yick Hoi Lun Mosaic College, was successfully held on 6 November 2025. The evening was graced by Prof LUI Tai Lok, Adjunct Research Chair Professor at the Education University of Hong Kong, who delivered a captivating keynote speech on “Before Molly and Labubu: Designer Toy in Hong Kong.” We were also honoured to have Prof Stanley HUI, Master of Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College of the University of Macau, as our distinguished guest, who delivered an insightful sharing on “The 1357 of RC Education in the University of Macau.” It was a memorable evening filled with delightful dining and inspiring exchanges.

Sake Tasting Workshop

Guided by distinguished Sake expert Ms. Jamie Lo and Japanese Culture Scholar Mr. Chan Chau, students had the unique experience to explore the artistry, cultural history and refined flavors of Japanese Sake.

Mosaic Orientation Night

During the Orientation Night, residents had a great time greeting and engaging with the management team, as well as connecting with fellow residents. Residents were introduced to upcoming College activities and RC rules and regulations. The evening also featured a fun ice-breaking session and a delightful dinner.
